Hey Don, welcome back! To use a weight distribution hitch with your Alliance Delta 252RL, I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution item # EQ37101ET. This hitch works with trailers that have a tongue weight range between 600–1,000 lbs so it'll be perfect for your trailer. It comes with a 2-5/16" hitch ball but no shank.

The Equal-i-zer item # EQ37101ET has built in sway control that will keep your Alliance in line with your truck when you're going down the highway and get passed by a semi or get sideswiped with a gust of wind. It'll also give you peace of mind if you have to make a sudden move.

Please note the sway control brackets on the Equal-i-zer item # EQ37101ET will mount 27" - 32" back from the center of the coupler. You'll want to make sure you have space on your Alliance's frame.

It looks like the 2015 Ram 2500 came with an optional 2-1/2" factory hitch. I've got a few options for a compatible shank depending on how much drop you need to be level with your trailer's coupler.

The Equal-i-zer item # EQ90-02-4800 has a 4" drop, item # EQ90-02-4900 has a 6" drop, and item # EQ94FR has a 9" drop.

What size hitch does your Ram have and how high above the ground is the top of the receiver?
