Welcome back Jake! To replace your 48209-0650 Coleman Mach 15 Power Saver/Quiet, I recommend the Coleman-Mach Quiet Series Mach 15 RV Air Conditioner item # CM86GR, along with Coleman-Mach ChillGrill Air Distribution Box item # CM36RR, and the Single Zone Digital Thermostat item # CM76RR. This is the direct replacement for your current AC.
There's no way to just replace your AC unit with the upgraded version of your AC, you'll need to replace all your AC system components. This is due to the EPA changing the regulations on the refrigerant in the AC units at the beginning of 2025. They've been upgraded to R32 and your 48209-0650 Coleman Mach 15 Power Saver/Quiet has the now obsolete 410a refrigerant. None of the 410a components are compatible now with the newer systems. You will be able to use the existing wiring to power the AC system and connect the new thermostat if yours has one.
The Coleman-Mach Quiet Series Mach 15 RV Air Conditioner item # CM86GR is the upgraded version of the AC you have now. This system includes the more efficient R32 refrigerant. It provides 15,000 Btu of cooling power and works in ducted RV setups. The ChillGrill Air Distribution Box item # CM36RR is going to mount on the inside of your RV and push the air from the AC into your ducts. There's also vents on it that can be opened if you want the ability to cool off the main living area or bedroom quickly.
The Single Zone Digital Thermostat item # CM76RR will replace an existing thermostat using the same wires. It can be used to control both a gas or electric furnace if your RV has one.
As an alterative to swapping out your air box and thermostat, you can install the Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup item # FR32PV. It comes with an adapter cable that will allow you to plug the new AC into your Coleman air box. It'll allow you to retain the use of your thermostat as well.
What kind of RV do you have and what climates do you typically camp in? I'm just trying to dial in the right system for you. We've got quite a few replacement options and I understand swapping out everything to replace an older AC unit wasn't what you had in mind. Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.
