SumoSpring Recommendation for 2021 Ram 1500 Towing Travel Trailer

I drive a 2021 Ram 1500 Big Horn 4x4 Quad Cab. I tow a 5,000 lb Travel Trailer. Which specific Sumo Spring product would be best to minimize sag when trailering and provide stability? I do use a WDH on my trailer. Thanks Mike

Hey Mike, I would go with the higher rated SumoSprings kit part # SSR-307-47 for your 2021 Ram 1500. This will do a great job providing additional stability and minimizing sway. A lot of times you can make a huge difference with sway if your move cargo weight in the trailer forward to try and increase the tongue weight. What weight distribution system do you have?

Thanks Jameson. I use an Andersen Weight Distribution Hitch system. I will also measure tongue weight to make sure I’m in the 10-15% acceptable range with each load out. Mike

@MikeP Another thing to consider is that the Andersen isn't known for being the best performing system if the tongue weight is higher than 400ish pounds. But tongue weight is the biggest factor for persistent sway so that would be where I would start. Also make sure your trailer is as level as possible.
