Question:

I have a 22 ram 2500 with rear air ride and also have a bale bed on it.Things have been good with truck until now I have developed a severe sway at highway speeds and have to slow down my question is do you have a extra heavy duty sway bar to assist with this issue? Please let me know thanks ,Lance

Hello Lance, thanks for reaching out. Yes, we do have both rear and front sway bars for the 2022 Ram 2500. An aftermarket sway bar will make a noticeable difference in sway, especially at highway speeds.

The part numbers for the rear bar will be different depending on whether or not you have a factory sway bar so please check that and select from the following:

Rear
- Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar - 1-1/2" Diameter # RM73FR (vehicles without factory sway bar)

- Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar - 1-1/2" Diameter # RM34GR (vehicles with factory sway bar)

Front
- Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar - 1-5/8" Diameter # RM47VR (vehicles with factory sway bar)

These will help a lot with that side-to-side roll and keep things way more steady in crosswinds. Will definitely make those trips less nerve-wracking.

What do you use the bale bed for most? Feeding cattle, hauling hay, or equipment runs?

I added the sway bar for carrying a hard side camper/RV in the bed. It's a top heavy loads and the sway bar is a big improvement.

We added the rear anti-sway bar after reading several threads suggesting others wished they had done the rear anti-sway bar first, not as their last attempt at fixing ride problems. We decided to do the rear ant-sway bar first and it was, without hesitation, a game changer for us when hauling our ‘23 Host Mammoth 11.6, 3 slide out camper on our ‘21 Ram 3500 DRW CC. We are careful not to haul much water as we’re close to 10% of max load bearing capacity.

Use bale bed for both did weighs 11.400 lbs empty and we have replaced right and left side rear factory airbags and compressor,still having same issue so what I would like to do is try a heavy rear sway bar.Do you have any other suggestions.Thanks Lance form Lopp Motors

@LanceG Hey Lance. Yes the air bags should help with stability too. If I were you I'd start with the rear sway bar and see how it handles. If you want to do more, add a front sway bar next. Another potential option is a steering stabilizer part # RM36MR. This helps more with preventing "wandering" and keeping the vehicle tracking straight.
