Question:
I’ve been trying to find an updated comparison of the Hellwig and roadmaster front and rear sway bars. Looks like all of the comments on this topic are quite old. I have a 2022 Ford F350 that currently has a Hellwig rear sway bar but I have not been impressed with it. I’m wondering if the roadmaster rear sway bar is a better option and why. I’m also looking to upgrade my front sway bar from stock. Updated information and comparison as of 2025 would be amazing. Please let me know thanks

Hey Matt, so the biggest difference between the Hellwig and Roadmaster sway bars that fit your 2022 Ford F-350 is the diameter of them which is what directly influences how stiff they are. The Hellwigs are a smaller diameter than the Roadmaster so the # RM93VR will definitely have a larger influence on your handling than what you have now. The Hellwig you have could either be the 1-1/4 inch or the 1-1/8 inch version but the Roadmaster is 1-1/2 inch so it's thicker which is the biggest factor on how much influence a sway bar will have on handling.
If you have a dually the correct bar would be # RM-1139-193 instead.
The Roadmaster front bar you'd need is the part # RM-1139-180 which again is thicker than the Hellwig counterpart. The bushings of the Roadmaster bars are also bigger and nicer too so that is a plus as well.
With sway bars my experience is that the thicker you go the better the handling will be but it can make the ride quality harsher when you hit bumps. My Tahoe has the police pursuit sway bars on it which are super thick and it handles really well but when you hit bumps you do feel them more. Is what you are looking for improved handling I assume?

Yes I am wanting to improve handling. I see that you have two options for the rear bar. One with drop links and one without. Can I use the Hellwig links I have already or are the roadmaster better and why?
