Wiring for towing doesn’t have to mean cutting into factory wires. This Curt T-Connector plugs right into the existing vehicle wiring to give you a 4-flat trailer connector. It’s a simple, plug-in setup that keeps everything clean and intact—no splicing required.
If your vehicle didn’t come with a tow package, this harness has you covered. The built-in powered converter draws power directly from the battery instead of the tail light circuit, so your trailer lights get full power without overloading the vehicle’s system.
The hidden plug-and-lead design routes through existing panels and grommets for a clean, factory look. Once installed, the connector is ready when you need it and out of sight when you don’t—nothing dangling below the bumper or sticking out awkwardly.
With a standard 4-flat connector, this harness handles running lights, turn signals, and brake lights for safe towing. It’s the common setup for small trailers and utility haulers, giving you everything needed to hit the road with confidence.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we take a look at this CURT T-connector vehicle-wiring harness with the four-way flat trailer connector. Now, this is a custom-fit part. It is designed to fit the 2022 and newer Acura MDX vehicles. And on a custom-fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll shape this a work-free application. Now, this kit here is gonna provide this four-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights.
This kit will come with everything shown here on the table and it will connect quickly and easily. There's no cutting or splicing of wires. Basically what you're gonna do is locate your connection point, which is in the rear cargo area, and you do get a set of instructions, it will describe where to find that connector. Plug in this connector to the factory-white connector, and then you'll have this white wire here that you're gonna need to ground. And then you'll have some fuses that you're gonna install in the rear-fuse panel.
Now this does include this powered tail-light converter box right here. This is to ensure that your vehicle's wiring will match that of your trailer. It is a powered module so it does connect directly to your battery to avoid overloading the vehicle's electrical system. And it is constructed using SMT technology, which is surface-mount technology. Gives you more consistent, reliable performance and it will maximize the trailer light yield and intensity while producing minimal heat, ensures superior operation in rough-road conditions.
A few specs on this harness. The maximum amperage for the stop and turn light circuits is three amps per circuit, for the taillights is six amps per circuit. And just real quickly how this would attach, again, we have the instructions that'll describe all this, but you're gonna go to the rear of the vehicle into and find in the rear cargo area the connector that'll match this connector here. And then you'll plug that in. And then what you're gonna do is this box has a little weight to it, so you'll take the included double-face tape to attach that to a good flat surface.
Run your wiring here with the four-way on it, out towards the back of the vehicle. When you get to the back of the vehicle, you could take your cover, you can install your cover onto this and you could leave it on if you want, but when you're not plugged into a trailer, you can put that under to protect it. Now, if you notice this white wire, it has the island on it, it does need to connect to a good clean ground if there's one nearby. If not, they do offer a grounding screw that you can make your ground. To take up any slack in the wiring, they do give you some cable ties. And the last thing is you can see there's five different fuses here that you're gonna need to install. Again, the instructions will tell you where to install them at, but pretty much most of 'em are in the rear fuse panel. But that's gonna do it for a look at this CURT T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the four-way flat trailer connector.

Simple and easy to connect.
Supposedly plug and play but did not work. Instruction easy enough to follow but connection and lights still do not work. did not work
This should be 5 stars, but mine wasn't. My package was open, upon delivery, that was not a good sign. One of the pins was in the wrong slot. Couple of hours of trouble shooting moving pins, and it works.
This harness worked out great. I had a 2nd party install it for me and it took them about 15 minutes. Saved me cash for the install.
This Curt trailer wiring harness kit is fantastic! Simple installation takes less than 15 minutes & gives you a super clean, factory-looking install that works flawlessly! Backed by eTrailer legendary customer service, this kit will surpass all of your expectations!
The only issue encountered during installation was with the Curt T-Connector instructions, which omit one important detail: inserting the third fuse into the small trailer fuse slot. While it's somewhat intuitive—especially since two other fuses are mentioned—the omission could cause confusion or delay for some users. It would be helpful if the manufacturer updated the instructions to include all required fuses.
I was about to return this item because it did not work. However, I went online to check directions and found a review stating that you need a third fuse to make it work. After we added the third fuse it now works. You need to add this information to your directions as was previously recommended.

What model year is your Acura? I'll have to check with Curt to see if there's differences between model years as far as the fuses go!
I purchased a Curt trailer hitch and a Curt wiring harness from etrailer, and the entire experience was outstanding. The wiring harness installed in about 10 minutes with zero hassle, and the hitch fit perfectly—everything lined up exactly as it should. Delivery was right on time, and the tracking information was clear and accurate throughout the process. etrailer made the whole project easy from start to finish. Highly recommend!
Simple plug and play install. Hardest part was locating the fuse box.
Excellent product, easy to install. If possible, please made the photos in the installation instructions a little larger. Example, photos of installing the fuses were difficult to follow.
Easy assembly and install. Remember to use the third fuse for the small light slot...not mentioned in the instructions.
Great product. Easy Installation for the most part. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because the instructions are not complete for a 2023 Acura MDX to make it work. Fortunately, I found an earlier review that pointed out the instructions don't list all the fuses that need to be installed. These do come in the kit but you will need to consult the user manual or fuse box diagram to determine which are missing and also need to be installed.

I am glad it has been working great for you. The owners manual is the best help for the fuses, but I am glad you were able to find a previous comment to help you out. What are you towing with your Acura?
Easy to Install, works perfectly. Etrailer is always great, fast shipping, terrific customer service. Thanks!
Easy and fast installation after watching the eTrailer install video. Like other reviewers noted, the instructions from Curt identify that two fuses need to be installed when actually three are required for the unit to work. The third fuse location and amperage is easily identified by looking on the fuse compartment cover.
Installed on my 2025 MDX. Didn’t work at first, then I realized there’s a 3rd fuse labeled “Trailer Small Lights” that the instructions didn’t state to install. Put that fuse in and it worked perfectly. Customer service or tech can email me and I’ll provide photos and fuse #.
I also purchased the hitch receiver and that install was a breeze as well.
This harness made the install on my ‘26 Acura MDX (SH-AWD Advance) a breeze. It pays to watch the videos they offer as well and we were done in less than an hour - on the ground and ready.

Hey Brock, I'm really sorry to hear about your experience with the harness. If you're not getting any sort of power to the 4-flat harness with the vehicle on and headlights on, I would recommend checking the fuses that the kit came with just to make sure they are still good and not defective in anyway. If they are bad fuses, let me know!
