Question:

Regards. I need to add a hitch to my 2023 Pilot so I can haul my bike rack. It has to be 2".

To add a 2" hitch to your 2023 Honda Pilot, I recommend the etrailer Hitch item # e27KR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Pilot with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a maximum tongue weight of 900 lbs so you will have no issues with capacity.

Please note that the hitch fits with a mini spare tire stored under your Pilot, but does not fit with a full size spare. Also, the hitch may interfere with the Hands-free Liftgate sensors and you will need to kick to the sides of the 2" receiver to get it to work.

Will I be able to move the sensor so we can continue to use it? Does the other hitch interfere with the sensor as well? Thanks

@Jb Hey Jb that's more of a question for Honda. Apparently the liftgate sensor can be relocated and there is a specific part you can get through Honda that only they carry. All of the hitches for the 2023 Pilot block that sensor.
