Question:

Hello, Im looking at purchasing a above the bed fifth wheel hitch kit, part number BWRVK2402. My question is can I use my Husky fifth wheel hitch with it or do I need to buy a new hitch as well? Thank you. 2025 F250 FX4, short bed

Hey Doug, thanks for reaching out!

Double-check that your Husky hitch is industry standard. If it is, then the B&W Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWRVK2402 will work with it! The rails are made custom for your F-250, so install will be easier with no drilling required.

What led you to start looking into above bed rails?

I bought this set up for my 2018 Ford F250 Superduty to mount a Demco 28000 Fifthwheel Hitch. Worked like a charm and was easy to install with little effort. Had one bolt hard to get to around gas tank but managed. About two hrs to install. Good luck with yours! Great heavy duty part!! Jeff O

@JeffO thank you for your insight! Could you give some detail on the issue you had with your bolt around the gas tank? That info could be helpful for anyone working through the install themselves!

@JoshB I had put a 60 gallon on my truck and made it hard to get to front left bolt on side plate. Wasn't bad, just had to modify a wrench to hold it.

@JeefO Yeah, I could see why that tank was causing some interference! I'm glad you were able to complete the install maneuvering around it. Let me know if you ever have any questions!
