Hey Will! I would be happy to help you get the best setup for your 2026 Ford Maverick Hybrid. You will need a tow bar, base plate kit, safety cables, wiring, and a supplemental brake system. I recommend the following:

The Shadow 2 comes with charging functionality so a separate charge line will not be required. You may also need a high-low adapter like the etrailer High-Low Adjustable Adapter for Tow Bars # e52ZV to keep your setup level. See the article attached below which explains how to measure.

Awesome, thank you so much for all of those parts that is exactly what I needed! Is there a portable brake system available as well? I haven't decided if I want the option to swap between vehicles or the permanent brake system yet.
