Question:
Hello, so I installed the Roadmaster flat towing system on my 2025 Ford Maverick XLT hybrid. The final thing that I am trying to install is the brake light relay. I have been a mechanic for over 40 years. I have pulled of the dash panels to access the top of the brake pedal. And I have been all over the place by that brake pedal and I cant find a brake light switch. Is there another place I am supposed to look? I am just hoping you guys can help me with this issue. If you would rather talk then type. Lol Thanks

Hey Dan, sorry to hear you couldn't find a stoplight circuit for your # RM-88400. Newer vehicles have made simple things like this harder and harder but you have a couple options. This circuit is also the same the runs to the third brake light of the vehicle so you can check there if you don't mind running wire all the way back there or you can use a universal stop light switch like the # RM-751000 which you can install on your brake pedal to give you what you need right there. Once you get it all installed do you have any big trips planned?

You need to contort yourself under the driver side dash to access it and make the connections. This one item was the most difficult of the entire braking system but is required for the Maverick hybrid. I was able to find a video in Etrailers library of videos on where it is, what it looks like and how to make the connections. I was able to do it but it was extremely awkward to position myself upside-down under the dash. I suggest you look for one of there videos that helped me a lot. We travel full-time towing a 2024 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid and the parts and braking system from Etrailer.com have worked flawlessly.
