Hey, William!
No cause for concern! The 4th wire on the Redarc harness part # RED93RR is for the California Vehicle Code 26458. This compliance means that when you press the manual override on the brake controller (to apply trailer brakes without touching the pedal), the trailer’s brake lights must also come on.
Many vehicles, like your Jeep, don’t actually send that brake-light signal automatically. Redarc adds a 4th wire for that signal, If you need to add that in, you can get part # RED34FR to be able to safely connect the harness to the Jeep’s brake-light circuit.
If you don't live in California then you do not have to worry about adding in that additional wire.

Hey William, how did things go with wiring the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty in your Gladiator? Did you end up using the extra wire and diode connection or leave it as-is? Your update could make it easier for others wiring the same setup.
