No, you do not Jeff. The Redarc Tow-Pro Trail Brake Controller w/ Custom Harness item # RED74UR is a plug and play setup for your 2022 Toyota 4Runner. It already has the necessary wiring and diodes so the item # RED34FR diode is not needed.

@Jeff The Redarc Tow-Pro Trail item # RED74UR will work with trailer's having up to 6 axles so you'll be good with all of them. It's also compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes.
