Does a 2024 Toyota Highlander Need the Redarc Encapsulated Power Diode for a Brake Controller

2024 Toyota Highlander A 4 pin wiring is installed with hitch by dealer. If I install a brake controller with 7 pin function do I require an Encapsulated Protection Power Diode?

Hey Danial, thanks for the follow up question!
Your 2024 Toyota Highlander will just need the 7-Way Kit # ETBC7 along with the Curt Echo In-Line # C79DR. With this setup you won't be splicing into the stop light switch on your Highlander so even if your vehicle did need the Redarc Encapsulated Power Diode # RED34FR (which it doesn't), the Curt Echo In-Line doesn't tap into that function.
