Question:
Looking at Timbren suspension kit. I have a 2021 Ford F 150 powerboost and Im pulling a 5th wheel camper, it squats about 1-1/2 to 2 and I would like to stiffen it up to keep the front end more even without compromising the ride when not under the camper. Thanks

Hi Richard; if unloaded ride quality is your concern I would steer clear of the Timbren SES. These tend to result in a pretty harsh ride when you aren't towing. The # TFRTT1504E is the severe service kit, designed for constant loads like salt spreaders or slide-in campers. If you really want to use the Timbren the # TFR1504E would be the correct kit.
Do you know the pin weight of your trailer? If it is on the lower end the SumoSprings Solo # SS28UV would work with a capacity of 1,500 lbs. The SumoSprings Rebel # SS53UV offer more support at 3,000 lbs. Both will offer a much better ride quality when you aren't towing or hauling.
Air bags would be the best since they don't impact ride quality at the minimum psi but they aren't a fit for the PowerBoost. The other option is to go with a different system style like the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS3611-YHD. This adds additional support to your leaf springs, again with a capacity of 3,000 lbs. They're also adjustable.
If cost isn't a major concern, and the lower capacity SumoSprings Solo aren't enough, I would get the SumoSprings Rebel which act like air bags without the maintenance. If you want to save some money the RoadActive Suspension is your best option.
What kind of 5th wheel are you towing?
