Heavy trailers, campers, and bed loads can make your rear suspension sag. These SumoSprings Solo helper springs add up to 1,500 lbs of support at 50-percent compression to help your rear suspension stay level under load. They work with your factory suspension to keep steering and braking steady while reducing bottoming out and keeping your headlights aimed correctly.
Bumpy roads feel smoother with the progressive load control built into these urethane springs. With lighter loads, they compress easily for soft contact and a comfortable ride. As the weight increases, they stiffen up—compressing by as much as 80 percent—to keep the rear end supported and balanced. That means you get a smoother ride when empty and solid control when loaded.
Each spring works on its own to handle uneven loads or side-to-side forces. When a curve or crosswind tries to push you around, the springs act independently to reduce body roll and sway so your vehicle feels planted through corners or when pulling into uneven ground.
Made from durable microcellular urethane, these springs resist oils, road salts, and UV rays while performing from -25 F to 200 F. They compress vertically with minimal side expansion to protect nearby components and fit safely in tight spaces. With no tubing or air pressure to maintain, they deliver reliable support without extra upkeep.
These helper springs are custom fit for straightforward installation that doesn’t require drilling. Just bolt them into place using basic tools and you’re ready for a more stable, level ride whenever you haul or tow heavy loads.

Ratings & Reviews
Great product! Bought these for my 2000 7.3 f250. Didn't want something that is constantly active like ras or hellwig since my leaf springs are new and rated for 4k pounds. Installed these in 1 hr super simple only hard part was the factory bump stop on driver side was a pain. Didn't install the puck they give due to height of truck and I knew more or less at what point I wanted them engaging. I haul cattle to shows/ auctions or between pastures with my 24ft big bend and these things actually provided a smoother ride in my truck loaded then unloaded.they do a great job with the added support and are better than an overload spring with handling sway and providing a smooth ride loaded. Just wish I could use the 3k pound rated ones on this truck and my dually but doesn't fit if you have a gooseneck sadly so will probably have to go with timbs on the drw. Over all great product can't speak to longevity but solid for the time being. And customer service with this company is excellent if you have a question or problem they're on top of it...hope they pay them as well as the reputation they're building for them.
Put these on a Jeep Gladiator to haul a motorcycle to Sturgis. Kept everything level, good ride and stability. Highly recommend.
Product is great, exceeded my expectations. Install is simple and straightforward. It’s a night and day difference in both the body roll and the handling small bumps all the way up to off-road conditions.
2025 Promaster 2500 159” wheelbase. Backed the van on couple 2” X 6 “ easier sliding under. Sprayed PB Blaster on top of bumper spring, using a 16” Channel Lock, easy off with the old. At that time I jacked the rear end to allow clearance. One side at a time. Took longer for set up then the job. I used the long bolt with two spacers. Have not drove yet, though looking for great results.
I put these on a 2013 Jeep JK (not lifted) that tows a 3000 lb trailer in rough terrain; Total game changer.
These replaced the anemic factory stops (which had completely disintegrated) and make it impossible to 'bottom out' on the dips and holes that use to beat up the suspension. I got nearly all of my vertical travel back and the vehicle now sits almost level under high tongue load.
They go on pretty easy. I suggest sliding in one side, and then using a wooden dowel and hammer to pop the other side in the stock receiver cup.
Highly recommended. These are a MUST if you are towing a trailer (with a medium sized SUV) of any significant weight or if you just want to be able to bounce hard without bottoming out your suspension. I am likely going to get the front suspension version now as well.
Wish I knew these existed sooner.
This only pertains to the order, shipping speed, and install as I have not put a heavy load on these sumo Springs yet but I feel like that's a foregone conclusion based off the reviews already. The ordering process, the shipping, and the installation was unbelievably easy. I kept rereading the instructions thinking this can't be right because it was so simple. I looked at the YouTube video and realized it is that simple! So happy with the ordering process, the quality of the initial product I opened, and how simple it was to put on the jeep.
Easy to install and a great product
Did not pull my RV yet but the install was so easy and I can see its going to work well. The spring is only and inch or so away from the axial so I know there will be less of a drop in the bed of truck.
They work great on my 24 f150. I also have them on the front of my 19 RV. Thanks Bob
They took out the rearend sag when hauling my tractor and don’t effect the ride with no weight in the truck bed. Easy to install and do a great job.
Easy to install
Easy to install, helps limit the squatting issue that I was having with my 2020 F-150 pulling 7000 pound fifth wheel.
I would recommend these if you have an F150. They squat quite a bit from the factory so you have to use something to stiffen up the rear leaf springs. They were easy to install.
These springs work great.
Pros: Towing feels so much more stable, controlled and secure. No more extreme bouncing over large bumps. Makes towing ride feel more comfortable.
Cons: Does make unweighted travel a bit more active and rough. Small bumps normally absorbed by suspension tend to become more pronounced. This might be fixed by medium duty jounce spring, but there could be a potential loss of usefulness with a heavier load. Minor drawback compared to the pros.
Easy to install and fit perfect. Have had it installed for a week now and is doing its job keeping the pickup level.
I got them in 2 days. Fast shipping and delivery. I ordered the 1500# springs. The installation instructions were easy to follow. Installation of the springs was straightforward and easy. My F150 fender is at 41” unloaded. With my 1420# pin weight from my 5th wheel without the springs, my fender was at 36” and my bump stops were about 3” from the top of my Axle. With the springs installed, unloaded I have 1” until the sumo spring touches. With my 5th wheel attached, fender is at 39”. The bounce is reduced dramatically and my sumo spring is hardly compressed. I’m so excited and happy about the results! 10/10 would do again
Very easy installation in about 20 minutes. Very ingenious concept as opposed to bolt on leaf style helper springs
Quick shipping, easy install and they work great towing my camper.
Love them! The truck barely even squatted, had two dirt bikes, and a generator in the bed as well! It handles the bumps and sway great

Still up to my expectations. Ride and handling not affected while towing travel trailer
