Magnets Make Setup Simple

Magnetic reducer sleeve shown inside hitch receiver

Reducers without magnets can slide around or fall out while you're trying to line up the pin, and that gets frustrating fast. This one's different. Magnets hold the sleeve in your 2-1/2" receiver so you're not wrestling with it, and the slot on the side gives you wiggle room so you don't have to line it up perfectly. Once your accessory is in place, slide the pin through to secure it. The magnets make setup easier, but the pin is what keeps the reducer from falling out when the receiver is empty.

No Loss in Capacity

Some adapters cut down your towing rating. This one doesn't. You keep the full capacity of your 2-1/2" receiver while running 2" accessories.

The appearance is nice, but once it is covered in grease and shoved into the receiver slot, it mostly disappears. I was hoping that this reducer would eliminate the slop and rattle from my trailer hitch, it did not. I have ordered an anti-rattle clamp to tighten my hitch, hopefully this reducer is compatible. The magnets are unnecessary. You still must secure the device with a locking pin. Otherwise it could be dislodged and become a hazard for others.

I just received today so haven’t actually gotten to use it with trailer yet. But packed like a tank lol! I’ve bought guitars and they weren’t packed any better. I installed in my 2.5 receiver and fit nicely,a little slack but not bad (to be expected) so I went ahead and installed my 2.0 hitch and it fit as well. The main reason I wanted this reducer was the magnet and it really holds well. I don’t plan on going down the road with reducer installed and not pinning it but I don’t know about every one else but things happen sometimes. I think this would stay in place in such a situation. I would really hate it to go through someone’s windshield because I forgot to remove or pin it properly. I think this is a great product and I would buy again. Shipping was fast and well packaged. Great job guys ??

We don’t really have a band name just several local friends that get together and play mostly small venues senior citizens halls birthdays and local events. Pros: Really great fit into Ford's 2.5" receiver, much better than the Curt sleeve. The flange also stops it from slipping too far into the receiver which is nice. Con: The inner 2" fit is oversized enough that the hitch rattles in it. I should be able to shim it, but a bit disappointed to have to do that. Overall it's a clear upgrade from the Curt reducer.

The pin slot in the side is so long that it works its way out of the hitch while towing. Mine is sticking out an inch. This means there is an inch less contact inside the 2.5 inch receiver which equals higher stress. Not sure if this is an issue but it is concerning. Also the sliding back and forth scraps off the paint so it’s sticking out and looks bad.

Although it was sent via pony express (USPS), it arrived in perfect condition, in packaging worthy of a piece of fine china.
This adapter fits my factory installed Ford receiver with virtually no play, so the imbedded magnets will basically serve to keep it from pulling out while removing a hitch, because there’s no way this thing will rattle. I am very satisfied with this piece.
