Best Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2018 Ford F-150
Updated 12/01/2025 | Published 11/10/2025 >
Question:
I was wondering what product would be best for a f150 w/ heavy payload package 3+1 leaf stock leaf pack for reducing sag and sway when loaded with a heavy truck camper....RoadActive suspension system or Hellwig pro series helper spring. Truck will be loaded with camper most of the time so unloaded ride isnt a huge concern but it is still relevant. I also do a lot of dirt washboard road driving and slow very moderate rock crawling.....Thanks for the help!

Hey Kris, the best suspension enhancement kit for your 2018 Ford F150 would be the Roadactive Suspension kit part # RAS3611-YHD. We've found that the RAS kits just are the best in all ways so anytime we can recommend them we do. They install easy, are easily adjustable, provide all the needed support, and unlike other options they actually improve ride quality and handling as opposed to negatively affecting it. This won't affect offroading either like the air bag kits can as they don't allow for full suspension articulation.

Hey Kris, how did the RoadActive Suspension kit work out on your F150 when carrying your camper? It’d be great to hear how it handled both the heavy load and your off-road driving. Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same setup.
