Hi, I thought I found a kit or info on which tow bar, mounts and wiring kit to use to tow my 2024 F150 Lariat 4x4 SB V6, but cant find anything now. I was looking at roadmaster and etrailer non binding, but I cant find system now. What are my best options? I have a 6k Roadmaster all terrain non-binding tow bar now, but 6k isnt enough for my 5800lb truck. Thanx for any help.

Hi Dean!

We definitely have what you need to set up your 2024 Ford F150 Lariat 4x4 with the short bed and V6. I have everything I recommend listed below:

Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM45EQ
etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate - RV Mount - 10,500 lbs # e84ZR
Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord # RM-15267
Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25

The braking system will depend on a few things and I have the three option I recommend below. All will need the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 to keep your F150's brake signal from overriding the turn signal sent by your RV.

The Blue Ox is a portable unit, but the 2 Demco options are permanent. You will just need to know if your RV has air or hydraulic brakes to choose the correct one.

I'm looking at e86YR etrailer base plate kit with etrailer tow bar you mentioned XHD non binding. I'm also looking at the M&GBrake system with my 2008 Holiday Rambler Ambassador 40SKQ with air brakes. Also both of the wiring kits you mentioned and a Voltage monitor for F150 to make sure it stays in flat tow mode. Hows this sound? Thanx Dean

@Dean The tow bars I listed above are specifically for Roadmaster direct connect base plates, so you would want the etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 10,500 lbs # e94ZR instead. Same tow bar with different connections for the etrailer base plates. I would also still grab the Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 to make sure brake and turn signals work properly. I can't say I have any experience with M&G braking systems, but I just went through a bunch of towing forums and I couldn't find anyone with anything bad to say about them. I think everything you have listed would be great!
