I’ve heard dealer hitches can hang down low on the CR-V. How does this Trailer Mate compare for ground clearance?

Great observation, Luis. The Trailer Mate hitch # TMT34FR is designed with a concealed cross tube, so only the 2 inch receiver is visible. That means you don’t lose much clearance it tucks up nicely under the bumper. Many CR-V owners prefer this over the factory option due to cost, but the quality and fitment will be basically the same. I attached an image which shows a measurement of 13-1/2" from the ground to the inside top of the receiver.
Do you plan to use it more for racks or towing? That’ll help me recommend the right ball mount. I recommend an adjustable one like etrailer # e66PR along with flat 4 trailer wiring harness # C56370 if you plan to tow a trailer.
