What Hitch Options Will Fit My 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid?

Updated 09/16/2025 | Published 06/17/2025

Question:

Hello, I am interested in a class III hitch for a 2025 CRV hybrid. I saw a few comments about not fitting the hybrid. Can you share the 2-3 model which will fit? Thanks

Hey Jason,

There are a couple hitch options for your 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid. All 3 are 2" hitch options with a 3,500lb towing capacity and a 525lb tongue weight capacity. These have all been confirmed with the manufacturer to work with hybrid models.

What are you looking to use the hitch for?

Hey Jason, How did the hitch installation go on your 2025 CR-V Hybrid? I'm asking because your experience could really help others looking to fit a hitch on their hybrid models.

Hello, Looking at same issue- 2026 CRV Hybrid (Sport Touring) that does have the hand free tailgate kick sensor. Any recommendations for this application out of the 3 hitches above? Any without trimming? Any that will keep kick sensor functional? Pros or cons for those? Thanks Lee

@Lee Hey Lee, there is not a hitch that we carry for that vehicle that does not interfere with the hands free liftgate. All of the hitches sit on the vehicle right below the sensor. I have seen some people be able to get full functionality by waving their foot to the left or the right, and some that have lost it completely. Since it sits where the sensor is there is no way to tell 100%. With that said the hitches are also going to require trimming since you are adding something to the vehicle it was not built to have. Besides different weight capacities I recommend the etrailer hitch # e98848. Quality wise all of our hitches are equal quality in my opinion, I like our etrailer hitch due to the matte black finish rather than the glossy finish on other brands. Tends to look nicer and more "factory" than the others. What are you looking to use the hitch for?
