No matter which way you flip it, this 2-ball drop hitch is basically all you'll ever need. We know it looks pretty standard, but its tight tolerances mean you can forget about annoying rattle. And it has 2 layers of rust protection.

Let's be honest, towing is all about metal-on-metal contact. So some noises are bound to happen. But, you don't want to be checking your rearview mirror at every pop , bang , squeak , and clank you hear behind you. These sounds just aren't comforting to hear when you're hauling upwards of 5 tons. You want to trust that whatever you're using to pull that much weight is built to last, and a hitch that rattles when you shake it doesn't build much confidence, now does it?
Like you, we think towing should be easy and carefree, so we wanted to give you one less noise to worry about. That's why we've designed this hitch with pins that allow for tighter tolerances than others in its class. It really quiets the amount of shake and rattle, so all you have to do is just roll.
Most ball mounts have just 1 layer of paint or powder coat to protect them from the outside world. Scratch this away after towing just a couple times, and the raw metal underneath will start to rust before you know it. Some folks take pride in that rusty, worn-in look. After all, rust is proof that you've had plenty of road-worn adventures.
But we prefer something that works hard and looks like it's barely broken a sweat. That's why we added a layer of e-coat underneath the matte black powder coat to give you an extra layer of rust protection. So while others might be driving around with a flaking, rusted-out hitch, yours will be looking great for the long haul.
Quick Tip: As for the hitch ball itself, if you really want to make sure that black nickel stays looking fresh for longer, we suggest greasing it up before you tow.

Solid hitch, has worked really well and held up nicely over the last year. Only one issue…when used with bulldog couplers (with a slightly pointy end), the point catches on the frame of the hitch and when you make a tight enough turn, it sounds like someone shot the back of your truck with a shotgun. It’s not tight enough to break anything (at least on my setup), but it does rub through the powder coat and make a slight dent in the frame of the hitch where the very top of the coupler rubs. If I only used round couplers, would be 5 stars.
It rattles in the area of the adjustment pins. If you don't mind the rattle when you hit a bump, then this hitch does the job.
Quick delivery! Ball mount hitch looks great and very easy to set-up. Would be nice if it came with matching lock units though. Very satisfied with etrailer parts.

This is exactly what I needed to raise my trailer a couple inches. It's very sturdy and low profile and it has an excellent price point. Plus I just think it looks cooler than most of the other hitches. Definitely worth getting one of these.

The hitch and ball have been great! easy adjustability, no rattling, holding up very well... Only cosmetic issue is a slight waring of the coating on the ball itself. No a functional issue at all, just cosmetic.

Works great- I had to set the ball to the lowest level to get my trailer level, so I'm hoping that any other trailers I end up towing will fit at that level or higher. Also, etrailer always has excellent shipping times and customer service, so it's very easy to order from them. Thanks!

The ball hitch came with rust already on it and the entire assembly is damaged easily. Quality dies t seem great but it works like it’s supposed to

After a years use, this product works so well for my multitrailer use. That I recently upgraded to the 14k version. I will give my other one away to one of the kids. I now have 5 or 6 standard hitches in storage.
A solid build instills confidence that will never fail. Worked perfectly on my 2025 chevy 2500hd
Convenient for adjusting trailer ride level and tongue weight but the amount of slack in the components of the adjustment channel to ball coupler are less than pleasant to listen to while towing.
I have returned to a conventional style fixed placement coupler to take the movement and noise out of the equation.
A well built product but tolerances could be a bit snugger on the channel to ball coupler.
This thing is a rockstar at its pricepoint. Built like a tank. Love that it only has two balls so it stays out of the way more.
I've owned this hitch setup for over a year now and am completely satisfied with it. My longest trip was 18 hours one way towing a 16' trailer with two ATVs. The adjustable rise/drop was perfect for what I needed to ensure a level ride. No one could beat the price for the quality, and I highly recommend this product.

My trailer tongue smashed the hitch eliminating use of the adjustability. Standard trailer tongue on a brand new trailer I just bought. No good.
Plenty heavy and strong enough for what I need. Unfortunately, the fit is too loose, so I don't use it much.
Nice product! I'm towing around 8000lbs with it. I would of like to of seen some type of lock, or at least threaded bolts where the ball mount connects to the main piece of the hitch. No big deal, works great overall. The price was better than most adjustable mounts like this.
the pins make for easy adjustment for optimum trailer position but I fear that they may "fall" out. I only say this because before I bought a lock for my hitch I had one "fall" out and I "lost" the hitch. (quotation marks are because I'm not sure that someone didn't just steal the hitch and pin)

My relationship started off on the wrong foot with etrailer. When I called back and spoked to Courtney, she straighten out my order problems. The correct trailer hitch was sent to me and now my towing is much smoother than it was before. I appreciate Courtney for her hands approach with me. I will start using etrailer for my RV needs.

Thanks for the feedback, Tom! I will mention this to our product developers to see if we can get it addressed, but you can probably put a smallish sheet of rubber between the balls and the shank to eliminate the rattle in the mean time. Should do the job. What have you been towing with this?
