Will Curt Weight Distribution Shank Fit ReCurve R6 WDH

Question:
I have a Recurve R6 hitch that I have used for three seasons with our Outdoors RV 21RBS on our F-150. Just bought an F-250 but cannot find a Camco part that would be a 2 1/2” shank for the R6–only the R3, which is shaped differently. Would this Curt part work so I can install my R6 hitch head on it and use with my new truck?

Hey Anthony, congratulations on the new truck! Your ReCurve R6 does use a standard weight distribution shank. This means you will be able to use the Curt Weight Distribution Shank for 2-1/2" Hitches # C17131 to replace your old shank so you can install it on your truck.
