Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a brief look. at this Lippert anti billowing kit for Solera slide out awnings. This simple device is going to keep your slide out awning from billowing and damaging your RV when you are out on the road. This is going to work with all Solera 1000 and 5000 series slide toppers. And the roller bracket, as you can see from the photo that I have there on the screen, and this is for the white version of this kit obviously. The roller bracket is going to install on the end cap of your roller tube, and the stop bracket is going to install on the side of your RV.
Now the mounting hardware, as you can see here, is included. And it is recommended that you use butyl tape to seal the stop bracket. And you can find some butyl tape if you don't already have that on hand on the related product section of this product page. This is made here in the USA of durable aluminum construction. It's going to resist corrosion and it's lightweight and this kit is well built.
And you're going to have everything that you need minus the butyl tape to successfully install this kit. Obviously this is in a black finish, but if you are looking for that white finish, we do carry that here at etrailer.com. They are as I expected and shipping was fast. Would have rates five stars if they had included installation instructions. I found instructions on-line and printed them, but it would have been better to have them with the product delivered.
I have this kit on one awning which stops it from losing during strong cross winds.
Worked perfectly.. exact replacement. Lost ours driving in the strong wind storm. Easy to replace. As always excellent fast shipping with wonderful communication throughout
The product and service was fine. But this anti bellows device does not fit an A&E slideout awning. Too small. I didn't realize there was different sizes.

This product is Great, simple operation Easy to install. And best of all No moving parts. We've had the Carefree version and they have issues if not perfectly installed they will break and fall apart. This Anti-billowing device is the best you can hope for.
Product does the job
Arrived quickly. Product was in a single bag inside the shipping bag. The metal parts did get scratched up somewhat but it’s what I would have expected. I’ll have to do a little touch up paint on them.
I had other RVs without the kit, it made travel less enjoyable.
Is something like this for slide covers that like to billow?

Glad to hear it made big difference! It looks like this is the only kind of kit we have for anti billowing. We will have to keep an eye for more products like this to add in the future!
Good service as far as timely and letting me know in regards to shipping, but NO instructions with the product.
So, it is not installed yet so I’m UN sure how it fits or how well it works = the score of 3 (it could be higher??)

The Solera Slide Topper appears to be of good construction. Even considering the damaged shipping tube and gouging observed on one of the idler head spring assemblies due to the container having been damaged in transit and re-tped.
I ordered this at the same time I ordered a slide topper. Though I hadn't had an experience with my topper awning billowing (because I hadn't installed it yet,)I thought it would be a good idea to install it pre-emptively. It was easy to install. At least I won't worry about the fabric billowing while driving at highway speeds in the future.

Anti-bellowing arms still on camper with NO issues.
Read the directions and understand how it works before you install it. The directions are clear but positioning is slightly different on each trailer. Once I had a plan Installation was easy. Works as advertised. I am a satisfied customer.
Works excellent. Easy to understand in structions.

Excellent. Had to replace slide out topper after first trip to Montana without it. Have been to Montana twice, Las Vegas twice and IllinoisIndiana twice and havent had any issues.
I have not installed this item yet because it did not come with instructions nor did I find anything on e- trailers other than describing the product, also the package in which it came in was ripped and did not contain any screws
If you've ever driven thru Wyoming's South Pass and had your slide topper turn into a parachute then this is just what you need. Easy to install and as always the right item when ordered thru e-trailer.
This came in the mail while I was attaching the last screws on the topper. This went straight from the mail box to the trailer wall and squeezed it into my really tight installation. Should work fine. That slide topper is now DONE.
Haven’t installed it yet, but looks like it will do the job
