Question:
If I purchased this device for my 2010 Nissan Frontier LE - Universal Installation Kit for optional Trailer Brake Controller - 4 flat to 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires +/- $125, - it will accommodate adding a brake controller at some point. BUT is it ok to use this device while NOT having a brake controller at this time??? Thanks. asap please. Id like to order very soon.

Hello Mike,
I’m glad you wrote in because there’s a better and easier option for you.
To get a 7-way on the back of your 2010 Nissan Frontier and have it ready for a brake controller, you’ll want to install the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118266. I’ve attached an install video so you can see exactly what’s involved.
You don’t need to install a brake controller right away, your truck will be ready for it whenever you are. When that time comes, the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller w/ Custom Harness – Up to 4 Axles – Proportional # TK59ER will include the vehicle-specific pigtail for an easy install. The # 90195 you were looking at comes with a universal harness that would require splicing, and nobody wants to deal with that.
What kind of trailer are you planning to tow?

So after talking w ginny in sales I opted for the 118266 t one and since I figured I go ahead and do the controller now, I opted for the curt tri flex c54qv. So all should be simple plug and play. No splicing or running wires. Tow vehicle is the 2010 Nissan frontier LE, towing a 2015 sportsmen classic 18rbt. Thank you so much.
