Today, we're going to take a look at the heavy duty metal mounting bracket for the two and a half inch round clearance lights. Now this is a black heavy duty metal bracket, and this bracket will allow two and a half inch round CL lights to be mounted without cutting a hole in your trailer frame. Now, to install the light, a rubber grommet is required for complete installation. We do sell those separately on our website. They're listed on this product page as a related product. There's two offered, the A56GB, which is a closed back design grommet, and the A57GB, which is the open back design grommet.Give you a few dimensions on this.

The width of this bracket, right at four inches wide. The overall height of it, bottom to the very top, is four and three-quarter inches tall. The depth on it is right at one and three-quarter inches deep. The circle diameter that the light fits into, it's going to be right at two and three-quarter inches. Then the mounting holes on the top center to center measured three inches apart.

Fits the lights well. I welded two together for the front corners and they welded as one would expect. They are quite hard to drill, but overall it’s does it’s job.

3-Hole Mounting Bracket for 2 Inch Round LED Trailer Marker Lights
We have 2 inch clearance/marker light # MCL52AB which has a 3 hole bracket. The powder coat would have to be sanded away to weld it to the trailer. We do have bracket # BK5557GB that will hold the 2 inch round lights but it can't be welded on. It comes with hardware to surface mount it.

Recommended Grommets Brackets And Plugs For 2 Inch LED Utility Light
For the Optronics Clear LED Round Utility Light, part # UCL55CB, the grommet and brackets are different than those you listed. I will list the correct items you need for this light. The grommet needed for this light is part # A54GB. The mounting bracket designed for this light is part # BK5557GB. The two-pin plug you need for this light is part # A46PB. Part # A57GB and part # BK55BB are designed for a 2-1/2 inch light and will not work with the 2 inch light you referenced.

Difficulty Installing Optronics Market Light MCL157AB and Grommet A55GB in Bracket BK55BB
You are not alone! The lights # MCL157AB have to fit tight in the grommet # A55GB and the grommet in the bracket # BK55BB so there is very little tolerances. One thing that I have had success with is to put the light in the grommet and then push both into the bracket together. Another tip that usually does the trick is to use some soapy water on the outside of the grommet to help it slip into the bracket.

The Optronics 2-1/2 Inch Flush Mount Trailer Light, # MC57RB, requires a grommet and 2 wire plug, # A46PB, and is not designed to be surface mounted. The 2 wire plug would interfere from surface mounting the light. Instead, you could use the Heavy-Duty Metal Mounting Bracket, # BK55BB, and grommet, # A57GB. This mounting bracket will allow you to mount the light without having to drill a 3 inch hole in your trailer and the light will sit in the grommet securing it to the bracket. Another...

Mounting Bracket and Grommet for Optronics MCL59RB Trailer Clearance/Market Light
The Optronics # MCL59RB LED clearance/marker light you referred to is indeed compatible with the # BK55BB bracket. The lamp has diameter measurement of 2-1/2 inches and the bracket has an inner diameter of 2-3/4 inches. You'll need a grommet, part # A55GB which take up the difference in diameter between the lamp and the opening of the bracket for a snug fit. You'll also need the wiring pigtail, part # A46PB.

Yes, the Heavy-Duty Metal Mounting Bracket # BK55BB that you referenced would work with the Optronics Glolight Amber # MCL157AB or the Optronics Glolight Red # MCL157RB but you will need a grommet as well. For that you would want a Round Grommet # A57GB. For wiring up the lights you will want a Two Wire Pigtail for Sealed Trailer Clearance, Side Marker Lights # A46PB.

We do indeed have a bracket designed for 2-1/2 inch diameter trailer lights, part # BK55BB. You would also need the rubber grommet, part # A57GB. The bracket and grommet would work with a 2-1/2 inch diameter lamps like part # MC57RB or # MC57AB.
