Troubleshooting Install On A Redarc Controller And My 25 Chevy Traverse
Updated 08/11/2025 | Published 08/06/2025 >
Question:
Hi Etrailer, I have a 2025 Chevy Traverse Z71 with tow package. Hitch with 7pin connector were installed. I have found the factory brake controller wires. White with blue tracer, black, red, blue. Would these wires connect to the Redarc tow pro as such? Please note that Im reusing the harness from a 2016 Honda Pilot install that I purchased from you, Blue - Blue Black - Red White - Black Red - White with Blue

Hey Camaron,
Since you need to wiring in that Redarc due to a plug and play not being available for your vehicle. The wires should be the same and connect as is for the install. I have attached the instructions for you below that explain the functions on page 3. From the looks of it the factory wires are the standard colors that would match the controller or harness. White is ground, black is to the batter, blue is your brake wire and red is the 12v vehicle brake light.
The instructions will walk you through the install. What are you looking to tow?

Thanks for the reply Nick. Ok so the same as what I have in my question will work as I have seen the post regarding the 2023 traverse with slightly different color combination. Will be towing our travel trailer Sportsman Classic 180BH.
