Can Redarc Tow Pro Elite Brake Controller Wire be Extended

Question:

Im interested in your Redard Liberty brake controller for my Mercedes GL550 but would like to mount the dash knob in the center console - too far for the 3 connection cord. I wonder if Redarc has an extension cable to lengthen the distance between the controller and the dash knob. Also, can you provide the dimensions of the knob assembly and wire connector so I can confirm I have appropriate depth in my mounting location?

Redarc does not offer longer cables between the knob and the module but we've spoken with Redarc before and they have told us that you can use a standard RJ45 network cable to extend as far as needed which you'd be able to easily source locally. The standard bracket is 1 inch wide and and is 1-1/2 inches tall with the knob being right at 3/4 inches. The harness is right at 15/16 inches wide.

The knob itself is 3/4 inches on the back 5/8 inches on the front and 1/2 inch deep. I've attached a photo to assist.
