Replacement Motor for a MaxxAir MaxxFan 5301K

Updated 01/19/2026 | Published 07/30/2024

Question:

My Maxxair fan 5301K will only run on the lowest speed. Switching to the next higher speed, it accelerates and runs for about 5 seconds and then stops. I replaced the control board with P/N 10B04301K and got no change. The motor is getting 13.5 volts while running on low speed. The voltage s off to about 13.1 volts on the higher speed before it stops. I tried connecting this fan to the power and ground from another functional Maxxair fan near it, with no change in results. This fan is 2 years old with low hours. Seems like the motor has already failed, or do you have another suggestion?

Eric, it looks like you've done everything I would've suggested, so I'd replace the motor because it sounds like it's gone out. For your fan, you can use the Replacement 12-Volt Variable Speed Fan Motor for MaxxAir MaxxFan RV Roof Vents # MA10-20968 for a replacement.

Hey Eric, how did things go after you replaced the motor on your Maxxair fan? Your update could make it easier for the next person dealing with the same issue.
