Can I store my SkyBox NX Skinny outdoors all year on the roof of my Subaru?

You can, Marco, but it’s not ideal long-term. While the Yakima SkyBox NX Skinny Cargo Box # Y93QD is weather-resistant and made from tough ABS plastic with a scratch-resistant finish, constant sun and UV can age it faster than necessary.

If you need to leave it up for the season, we suggest using a rooftop box cover like # TH69PS or parking under cover when possible. And when not in use, store it in a garage or basement to extend its life. A set of wall hooks or a ceiling hoist works great for this!

What do you think? I really like the black carbonite finish on this box.
