Recommended AC System for a Utility Trailer that Fits a 14" x 14" Cutout

Updated 08/07/2025 | Published 07/14/2025

Question:

I have a 7x14 enclosed trailer. I’m wanting to add a rooftop ac. The trailer currently has a skylight/vent. The hole that the vent is mounted to is a TRUE 14”x14” hole. Everything I find seems to need a 14 1/4 x 14 1/4. Is there an option to fit a true 14”x14”? I’m not wanting to go any larger than a 13,500 btu, but I think something just a touch smaller would also suffice. Thanks.

Hey Troy. The Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System item # FR52TD is going to have everything you need for your 7' x 14' enclosed trailer. This is a 13,500 btu system that installs in a 14" x 14" cutout. The air distribution box has the controls and registers built into it. This system is new for 2025 it has the R32 refrigerant which is more efficient.

What kind of trailer do you have?

Hey Troy, how did the installation of the Furrion Chill AC system go on your trailer? I'm curious to know if it fit your 14”x14” opening perfectly and if it's keeping things cool. Let me know how it worked out for you!
