Hi Michael!

The amount of work involved really depends on how your truck is set up. If your truck has a factory hitch, that will need to be removed before installing a new one. In that case, I’d recommend going with the Curt Class 5 Hitch # C15005. Just a heads-up installing this one means removing both the factory hitch and the bumper, but it gives you a solid 1,700 lb tongue weight capacity, which is great if you need the extra strength.

If your truck just has a tow bumper with the hole in it, the install is much easier. For that setup, I’d suggest the Curt Receiver # C13419. It’s a simple bolt-on install under the bumper, much quicker and easier! Just keep in mind that the tongue weight rating is lower at 600 lbs.
