Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Blue Ox custom fit two inch trailer hitch receiver. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2003 to 2018 Ram 1500 trucks without the factory hitch. Works on the 2019 to 2024 Ram 1500 Classic trucks without the factory hitch, and also the 2003 to 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks without the factory hitch. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, that'll show you if this will work for your application.
Now, as we mentioned, this is a custom fit hitch. It is designed specifically for your vehicle. Now, the ball mount that installs in here and the hitch pin and clip that would hold it into place, those items are all sold separate on our website. They do use precision robotic welding on this to maximize strength, improve the fit. If you notice, right down here, it does include the safety chain hookup holes to hook your safety chains to.
And it is a bolt-on installation. There's no welding required. Comes with the complete hardware kit, hardware right here, up here, right there. And a nice set of installation instructions are included. Now if you notice the finish on this, it is a textured black powder coat finish over a protective E-coat.
Gives you superior rust resistance. And this hitch is made in the USA. Receiver opening up here is two inches by two inches. Now, the maximum gross trailer weight capacity is 6,000 pounds. If it's used with weight distribution, would be 10,000 pounds.
