What Makes Curt C13419 Trailer Hitch for 2020 Ram 1500 Strong and Reliable

Question:

I noticed it doesn't have a crosstube, it's just the receiver so how does this hitch have a 6k towing capacity? I'm concerned about how strong and reliable it will be.

I can understand why you'd think that the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13419 wouldn't be as solid and sturdy. However, the hitch receiver is designed to bolt up to your bumper beam, which is then bolted to your truck's frame on both sides, making this a really solid hitch that can handle up to 6,000 lbs towing and 600 lbs of tongue weight.

The hitch is confirmed to fit your 2020 Ram 1500 without a factory hitch.
