This is great hitch 30 min install once I got the original ball off the bumper only problem I had was finding the bumper plug that I lost lol
Foolishly I first purchased the knockoff [online vendor] version big mistake!
During install trying to torque the main bolt it stipped out forcing me to drill it out to get it off them the square nuts bent trying to torque them to specs! Do you self a favor and spend the extra for a better grade steel. Left is [online vendor] version!! Fits perfectly on a 2022 ram classic!!

I watched the video before installing the hitch. I was somewhat skeptical about how easy the guy on the video made it look to fish the hardware through but it really was that simple and quick. I was able to complete the installation in less than 15 minutes.

It was a perfect fit and only took about twenty minutes to install. I personally am very pleased with the product.
Awesome hitch receiver! I even dressed it up with my own hitch cover. I would definitely recommend you guys to someone that needs just the hitch receiver.
Very easy install but you might need to buy a large drive socket for the top bolt. Tip, dont completely detach the fish wire from bolt before you get the nut started to avoid the bolt falling into the tube. Also dont completely tighten the 2 underneath bolts before tightening the top bolt otherwise you may not be able to replace the plastic cover cap.
Very easy to install, make sure you see the installation video. I recommend removing spare tire. Video says remove if you want but not necessary. It is necessary to get socket and wrench in. Other than that its a 20 minute project. Very happy with the quality of the hitch. Looks great too.
I’m really happy with my new hitch. I refused to pay ridiculous prices with even more ridiculous installation fees. So, I’ve been keeping my eyes open for the last year or so. I found this site by accident. I had never heard of it so I did some research to make sure it was legit. I’m really glad I did.
This hitch is affordable and it took my no more than 20 minutes to install myself. I was happy about that too because it’s cold outside. It’s sturdy and will fit my needs which are towing small things like mowers, motorcycles, and pallets of pellets.
I did not lower my spare. If you want to use air/cordless tools you will most likely have to do that.
For the girls out there, you can install this on your own with a torque wrench, 19mm wrench, and 1/2 external hex bit (with 1/2 drive), in case you’re on the fence about it.
I bought the matte black version because I hate shiny things. I would recommend it if it fits your needs.
It is an amazing hitch functions extremely well. Here is the drawback. The nut is to tall. When Installed installed the cover for the hole the the nut goes in the cover just pops off every time.

It works fine, as you can see the top piece is just too tall for the bumper and a cap will not stay on it so it is a pain and costly to have to buy a new cap every 30 days.
As always, eTrailer shipped my order immediately. This hitch was really easy to install on my Ram Warlock 1500 Classic, taking me less than 20 minutes working alone. When the 2 clamping bolts are tightened the serrated lock nuts will compress the hitch, making the nuts really dig in to lock themselves. I used Locktite but probably didn't need to.
EZ install. First, discard included instructions.
There is a better way. I came up with techniques to easily fish wire. Dont mount hitch yet, as per instructions. Find a semi-rigid "pull" wire about 2 feet. Tape one end to the "threaded" end supplied wire in kit. Fish the plain end of "pull" wire into outlet hole and out other end. Now thread bolt onto kit wire. Fish kit wire back thru and pull bolt out of outlet hole, and into hitch holes until bolts are protruding from hitch mounting holes. (Rest hitch on top of tall bucket) Tip #2. Dont completely removed threaded wire from bolt; pull/unwrap wire from bolt exposing 2-3 threads. (This prevents bolt from falling into hole). Start bolt onto these 2 threads,than completely remove kit wire. Tip#3. Leave both bolts loose, now place hitch in place (may need a helper here) insert main bumper bolt, tighten all bolts.

I think you meant to say discard the included instructions when it comes to the fish wire? The instructions do have specs that you will need as well as other info for the installation so you want to make sure you hang on to the instructions.
I admit I was VERY apprehensive about attempting to install my own trailer hitch until I watched the video. I thought, "I can do this!", and I did. It only took a little over an hour and I am extremely pleased with the results. Good quality product and fast shipping. I will recommend eTrailer any chance I get.

No problems at all! It is as though it was installed by a professional installer. Im very pleased with both the product AND saving $150 on an install.
I have had this on my Ram 1500 classic for a year now & it has held up great, no rust. I do recommend rubbing oil inside of trailer hitch mount if left exposed to elements to prevent corosion.
The taper of the front bolt going through the bumper does not permit the factory bumper cap to be re-installed leaving the nut exposed to the elements. Allows rain to puddle contributing to early rusting. Noting this or adding a slightly raised cap to the kit would be much appreciated (2009 RAM 1500)
it took longer to go purchase the half inch hex driver then it did actually do the installation. Watching the video helped immensely. Pre-threading the bolt into the hitch. Also was key to making it easier.
The bolt doesn't seat down far enough to allow the cover cap to fit back on. Works fine otherwise.
