Is it okay to add a short length of chain to the FastGun Turnbuckles attachment? I need to reach about 48

Yes, you can add a short length of chain to the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK so they'll reach a little farther - we actually have a photo of someone doing this in the reviews for the Turnbuckles that I'm linking for your reference.
Just be sure the chains are rated for the correct weight capacity and you'll be good to go!
What truck bed camper do you have?
