When you’re taking your camper down long stretches of highway or through winding mountain roads, stability makes all the difference. These frame-mounted tie-downs secure your camper directly to the strongest part of your truck so it won’t sway, lift, or shift as you drive. Because the tie-downs distribute weight evenly and lower the center of gravity, your truck keeps its normal handling and you avoid that top-heavy feel that can make travel stressful.
You don’t have to drill or modify anything to mount these tie-downs. They bolt straight to pre-existing holes in the frame for a tight, factory-fit install that takes advantage of the truck’s original strength. The design keeps ground clearance nearly unchanged so you’re less likely to drag or snag on uneven roads. You get a clean setup that looks and feels integrated from day one.
Made from high-strength steel and finished with a high-impact powder coat, these tie-downs are built to handle rough roads and weather without weakening or rusting. The finish adds a durable layer of protection against chips and corrosion, giving you dependable performance through long seasons of travel.
Nobody wants hardware sticking out when the camper’s off. Once you remove the tie-down arms, the brackets sit nearly flush with the underside of the truck and are barely visible. That means you keep your truck’s clean look while still being ready for the next trip—just slide the arms back in when it’s time to load up again.

Each tie-down arm has two pin holes so you can extend them to clear sidewalls or fenders and line up perfectly with your turnbuckles. Two holes in the attachment plate let you choose the best angle for your camper anchors, helping hold the camper steady from multiple directions. It’s a straightforward setup that gives you a secure fit every time.

Hi, there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this TorkLift custom rear camper tie down set. These tie downs are going to provide the attachment points at the rear of your truck bed so that you can secure your truck campers turn buckles. You'll also need the front tie downs so that you can have a tie down at each corner. Those front tie downs are sold separately, and you'll also need the turn buckles if you don't already have those to attach your camper to the tie down points here. These are a custom-fit, they are going to work with your 2005 through 2014 Toyota Tacoma as well as your 2015 Toyota Tacoma with the four-wheel drive, six-foot bed, and double cab.
Keep in mind with all those fits, it is going to require that you have a factory hitch installed as well as no board or step underneath your truck bed that could cause clearance issues for these. These are gonna be frame-mounted brackets so that's going to make the installation very simple. Because these are custom-fit, it's gonna use pre-existing holes in your frame so there's very little, if any drilling required. They do include instructions to walk you through that installation process as well as the hardware that you're gonna need to get these mounted in place. But because these brackets are mounted onto the frame, it's gonna create a nice, tight fit.
And so you're not gonna lose much of any ground clearance at all. It's also going to ensure excellent stability and handling. By securing to your truck's base instead of up on its bed, it's going to help better distribute the weight, keep it from being too top heavy. So it's going to make sure that you're getting a lot of stability as you're going down the road. These brackets, another wonderful thing about these is that when you're not using them, you can remove these arms and they become virtually invisible.
So unlike some other brackets that take away from the look of your truck when you're not using your camper, these are going to, basically, disappear underneath the truck body. They do have these two holes here that will allow you to adjust for the width of your camper. So very simple to get installed. You just line up the hole there with the bracket and then you can pass the included pin through to secure it in place. So if you've got a wider camper, you can use that wider hole there.
Or if you've got a slimmer camper, you can use that inner hole and that's going to create a little bit tighter fit for you. So couple different options there. But these are made of a durable steel construction, so they are gonna hold up very well for you. And they also have a powder-coat finish to help resist rust and corrosion. They're made here in the USA so you can trust they're gonna be good quality for you and they come with a lifetime warranty. So if you we're to have any issues with them, you're more than more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. But again, like I said, I really like this design. I like the way TorkLift has set these up so that you've got that frame-mounted quality, so you're getting that good ride support. But then you also have that ability to take those out and it's not going to take away from the look of your truck when you don't have your camper in there. And that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
