  Hey Dale, thanks for the picture! That's a real nice setup you have! The Curt Hitch Extension and Reducer item # C45048 is designed to only be cut down to 24" long. There's a sticker on the extender that identifies exactly where to cut it for the bolt holes to line up. It is not recommend to cut the Curt item # C45048 down to 30" and drill new holes. You'll void the warranty and since it's not designed for that kind of modification there's no way of knowing what the capacity of the extension...
