This dual-function adapter bar lets you extend your hitch beyond your bed-mounted camper and reduce your hitch opening so that you can have a 2" hitch for towing a trailer or mounting an accessory.

I tow a 8500 lb boat, I reinforced it with chains to the edges of the bumper bracket. No issues or signs of ware.
I’ve only just installed it and used it a couple times and I like everything about it except the price. You’d think it was made out of gold rather than steel.
only using for bike rack with my Truck Camper. Great fit and exactly what we needed.

Everything went great!!! Hannah was awesome and even helped me order a bike rack as well as my hitch extension. Very very satisfied with her and etrailer.
Works great and made it easy to haul my truck camper and tow the boat.
We are very happy with the extended hitch. We pulled a trailer with our F350 and cab over camper about 2,500 miles it did great.
Excellent product. Easy to use. I recommend finding someone with a metal band saw to cut to length. I cut mine with a sawzaw metal blade and finished it with a high grit sanding disc and it turned out ok- not perfect. I towed my boat behind my truck with the camper on it and it worked good. I’ve also attached my motorcycle rack with my 2013 ktm 450. To be on the safe side calculate your tounge weight before towing.
The extender itself is great but, it should come with a 2” reducer to fit all receivers

Nice parts that worked as intended. Only issue was you dont offer a 24" extension so had to spend a bit of time with the hacksaw shortening the extension down to 24" from 36"
I purchased this adapter to extend the hitch on my 2016 ram dually that carries a Host truck camper so I can tow my Jeep Wrangler. So far, it has worked very well.
I attach a chain and turnbuckle on each side from the safety chain loops on the extension to the truck camper brackets to reduce the side to side strain on the extension. The only tongue weight is the weight of the towbar.
This extension is very well made. It fits my 2021 F350. Easy to install. I'll be using it to tow a small trailer behind my truck camper.
I recently swapped out the stock 2" receiver for a 2-1/2" to allow me to purchase and use this extension to get past the end of my Lance 1010 Camper. I believe I will have no issues now towing any trailer (within allowable spec's) or carrying my motorcycle carrier. Great quality piece. can't wait to try it out...

Excellent! After a year of use still happy I purchased this product...Had to cut it to match the length of my campers overhang but it is perfect now....
Like others, needed to cut more than where the line was because of the spare tire. Feels heavy duty and will meet my needs pulling a 21 foot boat with 650 Lance Truck camper on Ram 2500 short bed.
After receiving a damaged part, I sent a few pictures and shared my frustration with customer service. Nikki R. quickly replied and I was blown away by the level of customer service. Not only did she try to make it right but she went above and beyond to understand what I needed and suggest options that would work. After some back and forth she made it right and I couldn't be happier. I will continue to shop with Etrailer and recommend others.
I bought this to tow my small utility trailer behind my 2022 Ram 2500 truck when using my truck slide in camper. Will it work? It looks as though it will but I don't know yet because it hits the spare tire blocking the hole for the pin thus mandating that either I cut 1.5 inches or remove the spare alltogether. Disappointed for the extra work I will have to do here. I don't mind paying the slightly higher cost on etrailer, but when this issue isn't mentioned in the writeup, it makes me question why I buy anything from etrailer.
This extension gave me the space we needed. Our golf cart fits in the bed of our F250 Super Duty with the tailgate down. However, we could not pull our 31ft travel trailer with the tailgate down. This extension gives us the extra 2ft needed to bring it all with us. Especially with the new weight distribution system.

I use this constantly and its perfect. I use it to mount a bike rack while Im using the truck camper. Considering a swing out connection so that I can move it out of the way, but I havent done that yet.
