Can etrailer Adjustable 2-Ball Mount e66PR be Used to Tow 7k Axle Rated Trailer

Question:
Is the adjustable tow hitch with part number e66PR a good hitch to tow my tandem 3500lb axle trailer with? I see the two inch ball on it is only rated for 7,500lbs, or should I look for a higher rated hitch?

Hey Eric, the etrailer Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # e66PR would work great towing a trailer that has a total axle rating of 7,000 lbs. It is rated for up to 7,500 lbs so as long as the total weight of the trailer is under that it would be just fine. Do you know how much the trailer would weigh when loaded?
