Does The etrailer Electric Trailer Jack e23ZV Have A Built In Light?

Question:

Does this have a worklight built into it? How does that get wired up? Is it separate from the normal wires?

Hey Bobby, thanks for reaching out. The etrailer Electric Trailer Jacks # e23ZV and # e55ZV do indeed have a worklight built in. Take a look at the picture below. There is not a separate wire for the light. As long as you connect the red wire to 12v power and the black wire to ground the light will operate normally. The on/off switch for the light is on the top/front of the jack housing right by the switch for operating the jack.

Hey Bobby, how did things go with wiring up the worklight on your electric trailer jack? Did the built-in switch make it easy to use? Your feedback could help others setting up the same jack.

@JesseM I saw this question and wanted to jump in. I recently purchased this jack and it works wonderfully, however I noticed the LED light on the front is always on. When I press the switch it just gets brighter and dimmer, but never turns off. I realize that 4 little LED's don't take much juice from the battery, but they are still a draw especially if the trailer sits for a few months. Any ideas about why this is happening or how to actually turn them off outside of disconnecting the power supply every time I park?
