Will EcoHitch for 2018 Honda CR-V Work to Carry E-Bikes

Published 12/27/2024

Question:

First off thanks so much for your help!! 2018 Honda CRV trailer hitch. The one I picked p/n 306-x7345 which I hope will be ridged enough to put our e-bike carrier on it. Bikes are approximately 80lbs each. Would this hitch work for e-bikes that weight?? Carrier is just over 4 feet long. Thanks again for your help.. Manuel

Hey Manuel, glad to help! So the EcoHitch part # 306-X7345 that you referenced has a tongue weight capacity of 525 lbs so it would easily handle the weight of your e-bikes and your carrier. Tongue weight is the capacity of vertical weight that the hitch can handle.

Jameson C, Thank you in advance for the fast reply. Very much appreciated. This tells me a lot about a Company when they have outstanding customer support. Is there a percentage or formula as to distance the bike rack extends past the receiver. I know the further away will put more leverage on the hitch. Our rack is over 4 feet out from the receiver. Each e-bike is about 80 lbs each x2. Also this hitch is going on a 2018 Honda CRV if that matters ? Last question, I’m 71 and was in Marines very early 70’s. Would it be possible to get a military discount or offers. Hate to ask but with the cost of everything nowadays, it’s a struggle to afford anything. Thanks again so much. Amazed at your prompt support, Manuel T [email protected] 330-417-4137
