Question:
Im looking for a Class 3 trailer hitch And wiring harness for my 2025 Honda CR-V Sport HYBRID. according to some of the reviews, the hybrid and the gas model have slightly different models of hitches. Could you please tell me which part numbers work for the Hybrid version?

Hey Rick, sorry about the confusion but the etrailer hitch part # e98848 that you referenced fits both the hybrid and non-hybrid versions of the 2025 Honda CR-V including your Sport model. It is organized in our fitguide in a somewhat confusing way but it does for sure fit both styles of vehicle. Are you planning on doing some towing or carrying a bike rack?

I installed this myself on the same model as Diane R above, a new 2025 CRV hybrid with Sport Touring trim. It looks great as most of it is hidden underneath. I have found the "kick to open" sensor to be a bit touchy to activate, but perhaps I did not cut away enough of the plastic underneath.

I ordered and installed e98848. Instructions were good. The only issue I ran into was reinstalling the muffler into its hanger after dropping it to gain access for the install.

The install video overcut what’s actually necessary to install stall the hitch. Wasn’t happy with that but it still worked . And yes as posted it does affect the foot actuated liftgate. It’s sporadic at best. Never needed it so it wasn’t a problem.

The video was great and my installation went as expected on my '26 CR-V Sport Hybrid. A bit difficult crawling under the car and wrestling with the muffler hangers but certainly do-able. No kick-to-open on my car. The hitch is well built and unobtrusive.

I had it installed on my brand new 2025 CRV hybrid with Sport Touring trim. My mechanic installed and was able to keep the “kick to open” sensor for back hatch. Been very happy with the hitch.
