Hey Rick,

I'd be happy to help you pick out everything you need to tow the 2024 Ford Expedition behind your motorhome, but you'll first want to doublecheck that your Expedition is capable of being flat towed. Only 4 Wheel Drive with a 4L mode can be flat towed so if you have a 2WD model you will not be able to tow with all four wheels down and would instead need to tow it on a trailer with all wheels off of the ground. I have the following recommendations:

Baseplate: etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit # e86YR. This baseplate is going to replace your tow hooks and has removeable arms to try and keep the fascia looking factory when you're not towing. I've attached a short video below where Jake will walk you through the installation.

Tow Bar: I always recommend our etrailer tow bar, which is manufactured for us by Demco. These come with safety cables bracketed to the arms so you don't have to haul them around separately or worry about them dragging on the ground while towing. The head also has a built in rise/drop and a bit of tilting adjustability to keep itself level between the two vehicles. You may still need a high/low adapter though so I recommend checking out the guide I've attached below to walk you through the measuring process. For the baseplate I recommend you would need part # e94ZR.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-15267. This diode kit is going to splice into your factory tail light wiring to display your motorhome's traffic signals through the tail lights of the Expedition.

Braking System: The Demco Air Force One Flat # SM99243 would be a great option since it's a permanent install that will be ready to go whenever you need it to without a ton of setup and is compatible with your motorhome's air brake setup. If you'd like to go with the version that also includes a monitor for inside the motorhome instead of having to look in your mirrors for the indicator light then you can go with the # DM26VR instead.

I also recommend installing a charge line kit # RM-156-25 to keep your Expedition's battery charged while you tow. If your motorhome doesn't have a charge line ran to the 7-way you'll want to pick up the # RM-156-75 as well.

Hey Rick, how did things go getting your Expedition ready to tow behind your Dynamax? Did the Air Force One braking system and etrailer tow bar setup work out the way you wanted? Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up a similar combo.
