This setup keeps your vehicle’s front end looking clean when you’re not towing. The completely hidden design means the brackets don’t stick out past the bumper, and the removable arms come off with a simple twist. When detached, you can plug in the included receiver covers to keep out dirt and debris and maintain a finished look.

Hooking up takes just a quick insert, twist, and pin. The twist-lock arms slide right into the receivers and lock into place, keeping your setup secure every time. When it’s time to disconnect, just pull the pin, twist, and remove. It’s simple enough for one person to handle at home or on the road.

The base plate bolts directly to the chassis using the included mounting hardware—no welding needed. Its sturdy steel construction spreads towing force evenly across the frame to help reduce stress on your suspension. The powder-coated finish helps resist rust and corrosion so it stays solid through years of towing miles.
The base plate pairs directly with Blue Ox tow bars for a secure connection every time. If you’re using a Roadmaster or Demco tow bar instead, it adapts easily with the correct adapter (RM-031, RM-031-5, or DM9523041, all sold separately). It even includes mounting points for an electrical connector plug bracket so you can route wiring neatly up front.
You don’t need specialized tools or welding gear to get this installed. The base plate bolts securely to factory mounting locations on the chassis for a straightforward installation you can tackle in your own garage. With clearly marked attachment points and all hardware included, it’s a solid weekend project that gets you ready to tow confidently.

E Trailer did a great job installing my tow system. It works great and is barely noticeable on my Grand Cherokee when I remove the arms.
Julie 72964, was very helpful identifying the needed part. Delivery was as requested. Item, well packed and complete. Base plate fits.
The base plate was received even earlier than expected, which was fine with me. The instructions were good (but your youtube video was perfect). It is installed and ready to go. I have no doubt that the operation will be any different that the receipt and installation. Looking forward to hooking the Jeep to the motorhome and heading to AZ.
This is the third Blue Ox Base Plate Kit I've purchased since buying a Monaco Coach in 2004. The first was for a Jeep Wrangler. The second was for a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The third is for a current model Jeep Grand Cherokee. This is by far the best buying experience I've had.
The price was very competitive, the delivery was timely and best of all, Cathy T was very helpful when I needed advice on the replacement of my electric Umbilical cord and other accessories. There was no pressure, just suggestions.
I don't know if I'll ever need to replace either the Coach or the Jeep, but if I do and need more towing equipment, I'll be back!
The Blue OX Baseplate arrived quicker than expected. I had it installed with about three hours labor and it looks great. This is not my first Blue OX product, that is why I purchased another with confidence. Thanks, eTrailer for the service and pricing.
They look good on my 2012 jeep grand Cherokee I have road master tow bar and didn't want to change from it so I ordered the change to blue ox brackets looks good I haven't got to tow yet cant wait to try it out.
The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit was a great choice to tow our Jeep Grand Cherokee. etrailer made the purchase and installation so easy and fast.
This product is great but the instruction were lacking greatly. If it were not for youtube videos I may still be struggling to finish this job. After learning some tricks with the videos it took me 3 1/2 hours start to finish on my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland.
I am not a professional installer (first timer) but I am not a novice when it comes to autos and trucks by any means. I found this to be moderately difficult and not for the novice. The only negetive product comment I have is the need to trim the tow hook of the bumper cover for what could have been made to center in the opening without a need to cut the openings on one side. Sorry no pics.
I can verify this fits 2021 Grand Cherokee Limited and 80th Anniversary model.
The following comments are SPECIFIC to Grand Cherokee without factory tow hooks.
It is difficult to get a clean cut to make space for the brackets to protrude through the front fascia.
A dremel cut off wheel melts the plastic fascia, making a mess that is difficult to clean up. It might be better to use a drill bit in the corners, then a jig saw. It will also require sanding the edges after, -- a power small diamond shape will fit a lot of it. Also have a good file on hand, and some sandpaper.
My first cutout attempt was not clearing the brackets. On the driver side, go a bit futher to the outside edge (maybe 1/4"), and at least 1/8" more at top then you think you need.
On the passenger side, it was not clearing one of the install bolts/nuts (bottom edge). I recommend going 1/4" more on the outside edge, and 1/4" more on the bottom edge.
For the tow wiring bracket, a flat mount is much easier than a angle mount for this Grand Cherokee model. You might buy both in advance to see what will work best. This one worked better for me: Roadmaster Straight Electrical Socket Bracket Item # RM-910030. This one did not work out for me: Roadmaster 910030-5 Bracket With 90 Degree Bend.
Trimming the fasia was time intensive for me. Plan accordingly. The brackets themselves (and install) worked out fine
Great fit. I could probably have installed it myself but elected to have it installed by an RV repair facility. Rather expensive compared to some other systems but worth the cost. Detachable Arms make a clean attractive appearance and enhances the lines of the vehicle (Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland). Completely compatible with my Blue Ox Rv Tow package. Ten minutes to attach vehicle to RV and ready to travel.
It worked just like it was supposed to.
John at etrailer.com was very friendly and helpful. I bought what I needed at the lowest price I found on the internet and I received my delivery in just a few days, much faster than I anticipated. The baseplate was pretty easy to install on my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee but everything was exactly as the directions stated.

The Blue OX towing system still works flawlessly and I have had no problems
I had this professionally installed so I can’t speak to install experience. The system is easy to use and my 2015 Grand Cherokee looks good when attach points aren’t installed for every day driving. Would definitely buy again.
I purchased a Blue Ox base plate, Air Force One braking system, and a light kit for my 2013 Durango. I could have not asked for an easier process with selecting and ordering, also the tutorials and videos were a great help in determining what was the best system for me . Everything arrived as planned and in great condition. This is not my first time using etrailer.com and my prior experience was equally good.

After using the items I reviewed, about 6,000 miles, I am more than satisfied. The towing setup is easy to hook up and unhook and the braking system is second to none. All of the installation was completed by myself and a friend, both of us have a technical background him more than me and we found the videos of the installation extremely helpful.Thank you for following up and providing excellent products as well as support services.
installation on a 2011 jeep grand cherokee wasnt too bad. the instructions should have included a note on removal of the front fascia wheel well bolt clip. you have to pry the fascia over the bolt clip. it will not just pull off. i used a 90 degree drill attachment to drill the upper frame mounting plates. my jeep had the tow hooks from the factory. the base plates fit well. i had to trim the "opening" very little where the base plates come through the fascia. great customer support from bob and carla

This product is still working great! No issues with any operations of this product and quality of workmanship from the installation.
After watching the installation video, I decided to have the dealer handle the base plate and wiring install. It took about a day and a half, and they did a great job. Everything looks clean and well-fitted. Hooking up to the RV is quick and easy, and it tows smoothly with no issues. Very satisfied with how it turned out.
This is my second vehicle for a Blue Ox base plate.
I have been very satisfied and have had no issues.
I installed both myself and although it is a lot of work the online step by step videos made me successful.
Mounting perfect on Grand Cherokee trai lhawk
2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited X. Followed the etrailer video and the baseplates installed exactally as shown. I gave them 4 stars only because the outer gusset interference on both baseplates with the actual fascia and not only the lower grille. Basically, I would have had to cut into the red part of my bumper fascia to get it to reinstall correctly. I called Blue Ox and was told that this was an issue that they have seen before on Summit models and to remove some metal from the outer gussets with a grinder and to trim as much of the rear plastics as needed and it would fit "Very Snug". They did fit with those minor mods but it would have been nice to know going in that these modifications would be needed, or for as specific model with smaller outer gussets to be an option from Blue Ox. Overall though, I think they look great and am very pleased with the product and the install video from etrailer.
it went together like the video showed . the instructions that came with the kit was all faded out could not use them
We are a shop and time is money. We received this kit and some of the bolts were missing and passenger side "arm" we not welded straight. Quality control is an issue clearly. On top of that, etrailer would not overnight a new box in order for us to do and finish the job on time. I would def. advise Blue Ox to get on their stuff before shipping out. The picture shows the very large gap, the other side bolts right up to the frame.
Waiting on temperature outside to warm up before attempting install base plate Even in Florida it is cold this morning! Your service has been excellent.
