Can The Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Be Used With A Bed Mat

Question:
After entering my truck info, Is it recommended for use on a 2017Ford F250 SD short bed 67inch with factory gooseneck and Is it ok to install and use on top of a rubber bed mat? Thx

Hey David,
It's not going to hurt anything if you use the Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550045-5W with a bed mat in place, but you might have a hard time getting the mat to compress enough for you to mount the hitch to the gooseneck ball. We get questions similar to this all the time and it's going to be case by case by a lot of the time you'll have to trim the mat a bit to get the hitch in place.
