Question:

Im looking at the demco fifth wheel hitch to pull my montana high country, my question is a two part question I have a 2019 f250 with the standard aluminium bed it has the b@g turnover ball in the bed no factory puck system and i have a 2019 ford f350 with the steel flatbed and a recessed ball Im looking for one hitch that will possibly work on both trucks if thats even a option. Thanks in advance

Hey Brandon, the short answer is you will have to get two hitches. The reason for that is because flat beds sit up higher which means a hitch would need to be shorter than the correct height hitch you'd need for the standard bed truck.

So for the flat bed you would need the recessed ball Demco Recon part # DM8550046 and for the standard truck bed you would want the part # DM8550045. Or, if you were okay with swapping bases you could use the head from the recessed ball hitch with the base kit part # DM6201 to save a little bit of money.
