Parts Needed to Install a Redarc Trailer Brake Controller On a 2023 Toyota RAV4 Prime

Question:

Hello, Im having my local Toyota dealer install an OEM hitch and 4 pin for my RAV4 prime. They said they are willing to install a 4 to 7 pin adapter and a brake controller for me if I supply parts as they can only source OEM Toyota parts. Im interested in the redarc liberty to install in the trunk RAV4 prime 12v battery is in the trunk and use the remote installed in the dash. Im wondering if someone can help me find the 4-7 adapter I need and the redarc remote wire I need to span about 15 feet. Thank you for any help!

I see you found the 13' Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Control Knob Wiring Harness # RED58FR which is the longest offered from Redarc. As they do not offer an extension you would either need to splice this harness with the harness included with the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller # RED44FR.

The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR you mentioned wanting to install on your 2023 Toyota RAV4 Prime uses a different connection cable. It uses a phone line style cable which you would be able to find in a longer length at an electronics store.

For the 7-way I recommend the Installation Kit # ETBC7 which will include the 4-way to 7-way connector, wiring and circuit breakers needed to protect all your wiring.
