Recommended Bracket for Mounting a 4-Way Connector to a Hitch

Updated 05/08/2024 | Published 05/06/2024

Question:

We installed the C99FR from Curt for our Highlander. We were looking to add a CURT wiring harness such as the 58300. One option for mounting the harness is to affix to the bumper or bumper cover. It wont really fit well with the way the hitch is positioned. Is there a way to mount the harness bracket directly to the hitch? Thanks

Welcome back! To connect the 4-way item # TK99FR you purchased to your Highlander's hitch we've got two options. You can use the Curt Mounting Bracket item # C42CR you mentioned and the No-Drill Mount for Electrical Mounting Bracket item # 18140 and place the wiring harness anywhere along the crosstube.

You can also use the Curt Easy Mount Bracket item # C58001. This attaches directly to the 2" receiver on your item # C99FR hitch. It will place the 4-way connector directly next to it. This would be my recommendation because it requires less parts and is extremely easy to get set up.

I have linked some review videos below so you can see how to get these brackets installed.
