Converter/Charger Recommendation for 2022 North Trail Travel Trailer with 200 ah Lithium Battery

Please let me know what product I need for my situation: I have a 2022 North Trail Travel Trailer. I just upgraded batteries to 200 ah Lithium battery. I also have solar panels total 840 Watts. I can only charge 80 percent when plugged in to shore power. What converter do I need for my RV?

Hey Tug, it sounds like your current converter isn't designed for lithium batteries or isn't in a lithium setting which charges at a higher voltage. The Progressive Dynamics converter charger part # PD79RR is lithium compatible and can put a charge out of 60 amps so it would quickly charge your 200 ah lithium batteries.

Hi John; if you want to use the #PD89RR the 6 gauge won't be enough for the 80 amp output. You will need to switch to 4 gauge copper or 2 gauge aluminum wire.

For your application you need the Progressive Dynamics 9300 Series Battery Converter Charger #PD79RR which is a straight lithium converter rated for 60 Amps. I'm not seeing one that we carry that uses a switch so this is your next best bet.
