What Needs To Be Changed on a 2023 Forest River XLR Hyper Lite 3016 When Switching To Lithium
Question:
Hello, I’m currently trying to upgrade my battery bank to a 200ah lithium battery. I don’t believe my current system is setup for that. Currently have one 190w go power solar panel and plan to add one or two more eventually. Currently have the WF-8930/50 which I don’t believe accepts charging a lithium battery properly. The WF-8930/50 power center does not actually do any charging for your batteries. Instead you are going to have a deck mount power converter somewhere in your camper. If you can find this then I can confirm if you are going to need a different Converter # PD79RR.
You will simply need to switch the battery type on the screen for your solar power to let it know you are using a Lithium battery.
You will most likely need to switch to a larger battery box. If you can confirm the dimensions on your larger battery I can verify what boxes we have that will fit it.
