What parts will I need to tow a 5,000LB trailer with my 2024 Chevrolet Colorado? It does not have a tow package yet.

First you will need to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C78VV on your 2024 Chevrolet Colorado. This will give you a 2" receiver opening for a Fixed # C45534 or Adjustable # BWTS10037B ball mount.

The Hopkins Multi-Tow 7-Way Blade and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM11141144 will provide you with both a 4-way flat and 7-way blade connection. These are the most common connectors used on most trailers you will tow. Since you are looking to tow 5,000lbs your trailer will likely have electric brakes and will require a Brake Controller # 90195.
